To be quite honest this product really surprised me. I had no doubt that it would kill mosquitoes and other bugs as it claimed but I was concerned with how effective and bright it would really be. I replaced my deck light bulb with this one and was actually amazed at how bright it was. It illuminated my deck area just as well if not better than the traditional bulbs I use. Now came the real test, how effective was it at killing bugs and was I going to have to sit there and listen to each and every one be zapped and cooked to their ultimate fate. I have numerous waterfalls and fish ponds surrounding my deck so, though it sounds wonderful, it does attract its fair share of bugs especially at night. I was impressed! We enjoyed the night with a lot fewer bugs and I never heard a sound. It was so quiet that at first I thought the light bulb wasn’t doing anything other than throwing off light but at closer examination I could see that yes it was killing many insects and here we were sitting none the wiser. I look forward to purchasing more of these, not just for outdoor use but indoor as well.

These are some really cool looking lights. They consist of 8 tubes/sticks of LED lights which measure just a little over 12 inches in length. Each light stick comes on at a different time making it appear like a meteor shower or maybe some would even say rain drops. These lights are perfect for indoor or outdoor use since they are supposed to be waterproof. For me it only makes sense to use solar lights outside so I have hung these inside along an archway making for a wonderful nightlight. If you find that one string of these lights is not enough for you it is fairly simple to attach multiple lights to each other. They would help to make a glorious backdrop for a wedding or prom. For those who are wondering, you cannot change the speed at which the lights seem to fall nor can you alter the ways in which the lights come on. All this is random and preset by the manufacturer. Aside from these lights not being solar the only other issue I have found with them is that there is no switch on the string that allows you to turn them on or off. They always have to be plugged into or unplugged from an electrical outlet. If you don’t mind this than you will really enjoy these lights.
